Dr. David Schrody, DDS, MS

Dr. David W. Schrody grew up in Ceda Rapids, Iowa, a school teacher's son. He attended the University of Iowa, graduating Phi Beta Kappa with a B.S. degree. He graduated the head of his dental school class at Iowa in 1966. He married his college sweetheart, Jane in 1966 and embarked on a 3 year stent in the U.S. Public Health Service to fulfill his military obligation. He had a Naval appointment (Lt. Cammander), acting as the Dental Service Unit Director on the Cheyenee River Indian Reservation.

Dr. Schrody graduated from the University of Iowa Orthodontic program in
1971 and started a private practice in Clinton, Iowa.

Dr. Schrody has been involved with various orthodontic teaching and speaking venues over the years. An area of special interest has been reducing the incidence of marks on the teeth during orthodontic care.

Dr. Schrody has two grown daughters who are lawyers and two very active grandchildren. Farming and bow hunting are Dr. Schrody's special areas of interest. He credits his wife, Jane for being a beacon in both his and his children's achievements.


Dr. Kirby Marine, DDS

Dr. Kirby Marine grew up on a farm near Ohio, Illinois, located an hour east of the Quad Cities. He graduated from Luther College with high honors and was the valedictorian of his University of Illinois College of Dentistry class earning his DDS degree. Dr. Marine continued his education by completing a general practice residency at the University of Chicago where much of his work was with children and medically compromised patients. Following several years of private practice in Cambridge, Illinois, Dr. Marine returned to school to complete and graduate with his
orthodontic specialty degree from the University of Minnesota in 1989. At that time, he joined Dr. Welser to form Orthodontic Group.

Dr. Marine also married his high school sweetheart, Judy. They have two sons, Matt, a Biology and Art major at Iowa State, and Ben, a Biology and Business major at Augustana College. In his free time, Dr. Marine enjoys time at "The Lake", hunting, farming, and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Randall Welser, DMD

Dr. Randall Welser has been creating winning smiles since 1987. Prior to that, he graduated from Augustana College with honors in 1981. Dr. Randy then attended Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. During dental school he married his high school sweetheart, Jolene, in July of 1983. In 1985 Dr. Randy graduated from dental school at the top of his class with a DMD degree. Following dental school, he completed his orthodontic specialty training at St. Louis University graduating in June of 1987. He then associated with Dr.
Watkins. In 1989 Dr. Watkins introduced Dr. Marine to the practice. This completed the team.

Dr. Randy and Jolene were happy to move back home to the Quad Cities after six years away at school. Their first child, Emily, was born August 1987 followed two years later by Bennett and finally two years later by Alec. Raising their family has been their focus of the last eighteen years. Dr. Randy enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, cycling, and skiing when time allows. He is actively involved in numerous school, sport, church, and charitable organizations. He also makes time for continuing education, consistently striving to improve his skills and keep up with the latest advances in orthodontic care.
